A classic breakfast and lunch spot, with an unassuming almost “country diner” like presence, right on Main Street!

Operating for over a year in its downtown location, it is easy to overlook The Nook.  Perhaps the lack of a noticeable street sign or the restaurant’s unassuming presence adds to this inconspicuous Main Street locale? What ever the case may be, missing the Nook is not a mistake you want to make.

Offering a wide assortment of breakfast and lunch items with daily specials listed on blackboards both inside and outside the restaurant, the menu has an “old school” feel.  A perfect spot for a Sunday lunch.  We chose the following:

The Nook Wrap:  Jack cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, sprouts, wrapped in flour tortilla with guacamole ranch sauce $6.29
The "healthy" item on the menu. fresh  ingredients, tasty
Tuna Melt:  Tuna salad with Monterey Jack and tomato on grilled sourdough bread. Chips on the side $6.99
A classic rendition with an updated sourdough twist.
Western Omelet:  Ham, onion, pepper and cheese, side of toast choice of potatoes $6.79
Once again a classic dish, well prepared, large, and full of flavor
California Club: Turkey, ham, bacon, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayo, served with chips $7.39
A very nice presentation, large, well filled.
"Special" Cajun 15 Bean Soup:  Tomato based soup with Italian Sausage and Cajun spices, $3.49
Thick, rich, and spicy with just the right amount of “kick”

There is a wide selection of soft drinks, tea, coffee, and juice to accompany your meal.

The wait staff was very friendly, responsive, and helpful; often checking back to make sure our glasses were full and to see if we had any other requests.  We got the sense of a real team of people who enjoyed working together.

A simple, country styled décor, with a classic “old school” menu; that is The Nook!
